Paid plans for Share by DeltaBreen are sold by Paddle, our merchant of record, which takes the payment, issues the invoice and pays out any refund. The service is provided by DeltaBreen Limited. This page says when a refund is given. It is part of the terms of service, and nothing in it limits your rights under the law where you are.
1. No charges beyond your plan
You pay for your plan in advance and nothing more, apart from extra ID checks if you choose to buy them (section 11). Every plan has limits, listed on the pricing page; when one is reached the service refuses more until the limit resets, something expires or you change plan. We never charge for use beyond a plan, so there is never an overage bill to dispute.
2. Free trials
Studio and Business offer a 14-day free trial to an account that has never had a plan. Paddle takes your card when the trial starts and charges nothing until it ends; cancel before then, from Plan & billing, and you pay nothing. If you do not cancel, the first payment is taken when the trial ends and the plan carries on. If a trial ends without a payment, the links you made during it stop working and a web address of your own that you added during it is removed; everything from before the trial stays. During a trial, storage, the size of one file, and the emails and downloads in a day stay at the Pro plan's limits; the plan's own limits open with the first payment.
3. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from Plan & billing, under Manage subscription. A cancelled plan keeps working until the end of the period you have paid for, then the account moves to Free and the plan does not renew. You are not charged again after cancelling. Nothing is deleted when a plan ends: links already sent run to their expiry, and features beyond the Free plan stop after the grace periods the app tells you about.
4. Periods already paid
A billing period that has already started is not refunded when you cancel, downgrade or stop using the service, except as set out below, or where the law or Paddle's buyer terms give you a refund.
You can change your mind within 14 days of the day you took a plan (for a plan that began with a free trial, the day the trial began). For those 14 days Plan & billing shows Withdraw from contract: press it and confirm, and the plan ends at once, what you paid for it is refunded in full, and we email you straight away to confirm that we received your withdrawal, with its date and time. You can also tell us or Paddle within that time, in any words that make it clear, as section 9 describes. This is the right of withdrawal that consumers in the EU, the EEA and the United Kingdom have by law; the button is there for every account, so a business has the same 14 days.
5. Changing plan
An upgrade takes effect straight away and you pay the difference for the rest of the current period. A downgrade also takes effect straight away; the unused value of the higher plan is kept as a credit against your next bills rather than refunded. Switching between monthly and yearly billing works the same way.
6. Deleting or closing your account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting it cancels your plan immediately and refunds the unused part of the current period, in proportion to the time left in it. If we close your account for any reason other than a breach of the terms, we refund the unused part of the period you paid for in the same way.
7. Charges made in error
If you were charged twice, charged after cancelling, or charged in error in any other way, contact us and we will have the charge refunded in full.
8. Failed payments, refunds and chargebacks
If a renewal payment fails, your plan keeps working while Paddle retries it; you can update your card from Plan & billing. If the payment still cannot be collected, the plan ends and the account moves to Free, and nothing is owed for the period that was not paid.
A refund of a whole payment ends the plan it paid for. Links sent on that plan then follow the Free plan's limits (each ends seven days after it was sent), and a web address of your own is removed. The same applies when a payment is reversed by your bank or card company. If you raise a chargeback instead of asking for a refund, we may also suspend the account until the amount is settled, so please ask us first.
9. How to ask for a refund
In a plan's first 14 days, use Withdraw from contract under Plan & billing (section 4). For anything else, email contact@deltabreen.eu from your account's address, or use the help link in your Paddle receipt. Paddle pays refunds back to the payment method you used, and your bank may take several days to show it.
10. Enterprise
Enterprise plans are agreed in writing for at least a year and paid monthly or yearly, as that agreement says; refunds follow that agreement.
11. Extra ID checks
On any plan that includes ID checks, a workspace's owner can buy extra ones in packs from the ID checks page, as a single payment through Paddle; the price is on the pricing page. Extra checks belong to the workspace, are used only once the month's own checks are used, and never expire. They can be used while the workspace is on a plan that includes ID checks, and wait, unused, while it is not. A check that the person never starts gives its check back, as one of the month's own does.
Within 14 days of buying a pack you can have it refunded in full if none of its checks has been used, by asking as section 9 describes. A refund of a pack, whether full or in part, or a payment for one that your bank or card company reverses, takes back the checks of that pack that are left; checks already used stay used. Extra checks are not refunded when you cancel or change your plan, or delete your account, after those 14 days.
